Tobacco Leaf (Picietl)

Picietl. Broad dark leaves of the Jaguar Sun's wild tobacco, picked from the clumps that grow where the canopy breaks. Never eaten: the leaf belongs to the gods and the priests. Offer it at an altar (a Teccalli dedicated to Tezcatlipoca counts it as a favoured gift), or roll it around copal at a Fire Pit into Yetl Smoke. Wield it at a chinampa bed to plant a row.
